*ATLANTA (April 21, 2025)* – Aperture Hotels today announced the promotions of Melissa Brown and Chandi Saunders to vice presidents of commercial strategy, recognizing their contributions to the company’s commercial performance and continued growth across a portfolio of 30 hotels nationwide.
Brown and Saunders each bring more than two decades of hospitality experience and have served as regional directors of commercial strategy at Aperture since July 2024. In their new roles, they will lead strategic revenue generation efforts, oversee sales and marketing initiatives,and help position the company’s properties for long-term success in a competitive marketplace.
“Over the past year, Aperture Hotels has achieved overall 6% RGI growth (RevPAR Index) across its 30-hotel portfolio, outperforming our competitive set and strengthening our owner relationships,” said Charles Oswald, president and CEO. “Both Melissa and Chandi played critical roles in that achievement, and I’m thrilled to see their leadership expand across the company.”
Brown most recently served as regional director of sales for Aperture Hotels. Before joining Aperture, Brown held senior sales roles at Aimbridge Hospitality, Terrapin Hospitality, and Marriott-branded properties in major markets including Orlando and Los Angeles. Her career is marked by a consistent track record of driving group and corporate revenue across diverse asset types.
Saunders, who has been with Aperture since 2019, has led commercial efforts for hotels across Georgia and the Southeast. Her background includes experience in sales strategy, event management, and operations,focusing on building loyal client relationships and exceeding performance goals.
Brown and Saunders will team up with their operations counterparts to continue supporting property-level teams while enhancing the company’s data-driven approach to revenue optimization.
